Ed was born and raised in Glen Burnie and resides there still. Along with his outstanding keyboard and piano chops Ed has a great singing voice and brings a soulful edge to our songs. Ed has been in several Local Maryland Bands over the years such as Final Analysis, FullCircle Band, Rich & The Road Runners,and Chasing Time.
A Baltimore native, Bill has been playing guitar since the age of 13 and had his first band at 15. He began playing keyboards and writing his own music at age 17. In 2000 he started working with an independent Country music producer writing songs and doing live radio broadcasts. He retired from his day job in 2010 and formed the band Whiskey Reign which eventually evolved into Kaleidoscope. Bill's influences include The Beatles, Hendrix, Clapton, Danny Gatton & Roy Buchanan.
Jeff has been playing music in the MD area for over 30 years in bands like High Spirits, Landslide, On the Verge. Rumor Has It, Quagmire & Beg To Differ. He also writes his own music. His musical interests are worldwide. If it's good & interesting he likes it, regardless of origin.
Tom's interest in music started at 13 when his brother turned him on to Iron Butterfly's In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. He was hooked from then on. He picked up the guitar at 15 and never looked back. His influences include The Beatles, Stones, Clapton, Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, Watson, Scruggs, Guthrie, Emmanuel, Blisard just to name a few.
Born & raised in Baltimore, MD, Mark started playing bass in 1981. He has played in many local area bands including Southern Steel, Quagmire, Hyperactivity & Beg To Differ. His influences include John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, Phil Lesh and Geezer Butler.
Chris Grimaldi is from Baltimore and began playing trumpet at the age of 8 years old. He began playing in local rock bands at the age of 14 and played hundreds of gigs with groups including Smokestack and Steppin' Out prior to joining Kaleidoscope. He previously performed with the Hunt Valley Wind Ensemble and was trumpet section leader. Some of Chris's key musical influencers are Tower of Power, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, Wynton Marsalis, Frank Zappa, Snarky Puppy, Real Big Fish.
Todd was born & raised in Anne Arundel County, MD and resides there still. He started playing Saxophone at the age of 9. He worked locally as a musical instrument repair technician and learned to play flute, clarinet and several brass instruments in the process. He played Jazz and Swing almost exclusively for years before making the jump to Rock and more modern music when joining Kaleidoscope in 2015. Todd's influences include King Curtis, David Sanborn, Dave Koz and Clarence Clemons.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Chris started playing music in the fourth grade. Beginning on trumpet, he switched to euphonium in high school before picking up trombone in college where he majored in Music Education at Towson University. Chris had been playing in several different local bands before being discovered by Kaleidoscope in 2015 when we decided to add a full horn section. Since joining, Chris has decided to give singing a try and his voice can be heard on several songs in both a backup and lead role. Chris has been inspired by Stan Kenton, Tower of Power, Chicago, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire.
Steve began playing trumpet in the fourth grade and has loved music ever since. Making music has allowed him to see so many places and meet so many great people. In high school, he learned to play jazz and broaden his appreciation of music, playing in several award-winning groups. Steve was influenced by some of the greats including Arturo Sandoval, Maynard Ferguson, Tower of Power and the Rippingtons. During his college years, he helped create the university’s first pep band and had the pleasure of playing for the Baltimore Colts/Ravens Marching Band for Ravens games and other events. He had a blast and got to watch football for free. New to the band scene, Steve feels lucky to be part of Kaleidoscope. Getting to play a lot of different styles of music while having fun with guys he enjoys spending time with.
